The age-old wisdom of Pirkei Avot is as fresh and relevant today as it was when originally written. Our Sages could see from one end of the world to the other, from their day until the present. Each verse is an entire blueprint for living, an entire Torah in itself.

Additionally, for those who have not been immersed in Talmud study, these teachings provide a fascinating introduction to many different wise men, each with his own perspective. The seventy facets of Torah are richly represented in the words of Pirkei Avot.

And who better to elucidate its deep meanings than Rabbi Zamir Cohen? There is no area of Torah that is not at his fingertips, and due to his deep involvement with the community, his explanations are relevant to all, from the oldest to the youngest among us. He has his finger on the pulse of the Jewish heart of today’s generations, and his clear and vivid interpretations through his Nezer Hadaat commentary will surely inspire us all.

Rabbi Zamir Cohen is the head of Hidabroot and author of the best-selling series The Coming Revolution on Torah and Science and Hidden Treasures: Archaeology Discovers the Hebrew Bible on Jewish history and archaeology, which have been translated into seven languages. He has published Jewish halachic responsa and commentaries on the Bible. Rabbi Cohen is also dean of a yeshivah and president of the organization B’Noam.
