This is a wonderful book containing hundreds of stories – accompanied by beautiful illustrations – about our great scholars from diverse communities which strive to inspire diligence in Torah study. They vividly depict their perseverance in learning and subsequent transformation into Talmidei Chachamim. In his introduction, the author writes that all too often it is assumed that any Gadol was born that way. He explains that one cannot overemphasize that throughout history, many were only of average intelligence of below. The same applies today, as well. “Even you, dear reader, may possess similar qualities. Your success depends on your motivation and persistence! Be careful to take full advantage of your time, by arriving to learn punctually, and by using your spare time to the utmost.”
